In Aysam Sterilization Container Systems, there are holes for air passage on the outer surface of the lid. Those air-passages are air-permeable and let hot steam get in and out to do sterilization of container contents. There is a silicone gasket on the inner surface of the lid and there is a locking filter retainer in the middle of the lid, they provide air and waterproof along their edges.
